Bar Stella Abyss demo releases in Japan on February 15, Streaming guidelines also published

Nippon Ichi Software has announced that they will release the demo version of Bar Stella Abyss?on the Japanese PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop on February 15 at midnight in Japan's time zone.

The demo will let players access the early parts of the game with full features, including interacting with fellow bar patrons and exploring the otherworldly dungeons. The save data can also be brought over to the full game. However, the demo will stop giving play access once the player has cleared the first chapter.

In addition, Nippon Ichi has also published a public guideline for uploading gameplay videos and holding live streams of the game. In recent times it has become a common thing for companies to regulate video uploads. The Japanese guidelines can be summarized as follows:

  • Only videos uploaded with no profit are allowed, but they will also tolerate monetizations made through the platform's own system like YouTube's partner program.
  • The videos must be sourced straight from the consoles' Share features, but they will still tolerate videos made with creativity, such as the uploader adding their own comments.
  • The uploader must include the "?2024 Nippon Ichi Software, Inc." copyright mention in the video's description.
  • Videos containing story events must be marked with spoiler warnings, and the title and thumbnail must not give any spoilers either.
  • Videos focused only on the game's music or cutscenes are not allowed

The full version of Bar Stella Abyss will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in Japan two weeks after the demo release on February 29. You can also check out our translation of the gameplay details?to catch up with the information.
